Until the end of the season
Red Bull Salzburg have loaned out another player in striker Roko Simic. The 19-year-old Croatian is making a temporary move to FC Zurich in Switzerland until the end of the season. The U21 international should shoot the defending champion, who has been in a crisis since the end of the season, to stay up. With a market value of 5 million euros, Simic is the second most valuable player in the squad after defender Becir Omeragic (20), who is worth 6 million.
Marinko Jurendic, head of sport at FCZ, said of the new signing: “Roko is an up-and-coming centre-forward who is very committed in every phase of the game. In his still young career he has already shown impressive performances at different levels of performance and offers our attack new possibilities. We are pleased that Roko will take his next development steps at FCZ.”
Simic moved to Salzburg in 2021 from NK Lokomotiva Zagreb for €4 million and initially gained match practice at partner club FC Liefering, where he scored 19 goals in 24 games in the second division. After his return to the “Red Bulls” he made 13 appearances (one goal). Simic’s contract is valid until 2025.
The 19-year-old center forward Roko Simic is leaving on loan with immediate effect and until the end of the 2022/2023 season @RedBullSalzburg to the city club.
