Red Bull Salzburg was the first club to win the Austrian soccer championship for the tenth time in a row.
The subscription winner made the Bundesliga title clear on the third-to-last matchday with a 2-1 (0-1) win against Sturm Graz.
Karim Konate, who came on as a substitute seven minutes earlier, scored the winning goal for the team of German coach Matthias Jaissle in the closing stages (88′). With 45 points, the sister club of RB Leipzig can no longer be caught by Graz (39).
Salzburg took 27 of the 55 points from the main round after the halving into the master group. Since, unlike Graz, it had to be rounded off, RB is sure of first place. According to the club, the championship plate will be handed over during the last home game against Austria Klagenfurt on May 28th.
