The way is clear for the Red Bull group to take over the top German cycling team Bora-hansgrohe. According to the team, the Austrian competition authority had no objections to the beverage company taking over 51 percent of the team.
An objection could have been lodged by January 26th. Further details of the partnership will be announced later in the season.
“With today’s decision, we have overcome an important hurdle. The foundation of our partnership with Red Bull is now officially in place. This is the green light we have been waiting for,” said team boss Ralph Denk. We now look at the formalities and the individual building blocks of the collaboration. This step will be approached with the necessary calm.
