Telstar will meet the number three of the first division with FC Eindhoven tomorrow evening. “They play for direct promotion. We often do well against opponents considered to be stronger. We absolutely do not want to end up at the bottom,” says trainer Andries Jonker.
Last week keeper Abdel El Ouazzane still had to leave the field early† The keeper does Ramadan and at halftime he had taken a drug to which his body did not respond well. “That drug would speed up the absorption of sugar in the blood. Some people do not respond well to that and he is one of them,” says Jonker, who can once again have a fully fit El Ouzzanne.
Fernandes
Rashaan Fernandes is the only player likely to return to the match selection compared to last. Niels van Wetten, Roman Tugarinov, Siebe Vandermeulen and keeper Ronald Koeman Jr. are not fit yet. Yaël Liesdek, Rein Smit and Anthony Berenstein have been out of circulation for Telstar for some time.
