Record set by Leon Draisaitl in Edmonton Oilers clear win

Also thanks to a record performance by Leon Draisaitl, the Edmonton Oilers managed a clear victory in the quarterfinals of the play-offs of the North American ice hockey professional league NHL.

In the 4-1 win against the Calgary Flames, the hosts scored all of the goals in the second period, with Draisaitl assisting in each one.

He is the first NHL player to have four assists in a third in a playoff game.

Edmonton took a 2-1 lead by winning the best-of-seven series on home soil. Evander Kane scored three of the four goals with a hat trick.

With three assists, Connor McDavid increased his yield to 23 points after ten play-off games – only the icons Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux (25 each) had managed more so far.

The fourth game of the “Battle of Alberta” takes place on Tuesday.
