More than 40 percent of West Flemish people use the bicycle to cover at least part of their commute, which is 7 percent more than in 2022. The number of commuters remains at around 4%. The percentage of employees who only use the car to go to work drops by about 7 percent. Commercial vehicles are also becoming greener at a rapid pace.
