After two years in the Netherlands, Roger Schmidt has moved to Portugal. The German coach wants to celebrate more titles in Lisbon.
Roger Schmidt was euphorically welcomed by the Benfica fans in Lisbon. According to the club, 23,000 supporters attended the start of training at the Estádio da Luz – a record crowd.
With Schmidt, Benfica wants to win their first championship since 2019.
