Record attempt bar sitting in Gistel
Everyone knows the image of bar hangers who sometimes spend hours on their bar stool in a café. It is also the favorite activity of Gistel residents Kris, Peter and Aloïs to sit until the last man at the bar in their favorite café. And now they want to make a record of that.
The current record for sitting at the counter is 52 hours held by Limburgers. The West Flemish trio wants to do better for at least one hour. The rules are that no one is allowed to drop out, sleeping is not allowed and drinking and eating are done in moderation. There is a 5 minute bathroom break every hour. The trio started Friday afternoon and hopes to stretch it until eight o’clock tonight.
