The Canadian capital Ottawa is now under a state of emergency due to the ongoing trucker protest. The mayor calls it “the biggest crisis the city has ever faced”. What started as an anti-vaccination rally for truck drivers grew into a grim backlash that some participants hope will be Canada’s Capitol storming. They turn against the whole policy, against the majority of citizens who do not agree with them and therefore against democracy.
