The nitrogen dossier is deadlocked. The discussion within the Flemish government reached a boiling point yesterday. “We are condemned to each other.” Prime Minister Jan Jambon (N-VA) pulled two tricks out of his hat, after which a few coffees with the party chairmen calmed things down. After a ‘cooling off period’, the three parties hope to reach an agreement within two weeks. Is that optimism justified?
