“We are also using this day to put the European Disability Card in the spotlight once again,” says Alderman Pieter Marechal. “In 2022, the City of Bruges expanded the use of this card. With this European handicap card, you as a person with a disability can benefit from services and benefits during cultural, sports or leisure activities. In our city you can use the card at Museums Bruges, the Stadsschouwburg, the swimming pools, Interbad and Remembrance Service of the City of Bruges. Many private providers also accept the card as ‘proof’ of disability.”
