– Recep Uçar: “Our goal is to stay in the league”
Ümraniyespor Technical Director Recep Uçar, in his statement after the Adana Demirspor draw, said that their goal is to hold on to the league.
Ümraniyespor faced Adana Demirspor in the 23rd week postponement match of Spor Toto Super League, the fight ended 1-1 with goals scored in the second half. Making a statement at the press conference after the fight, Ümraniyespor Technical Director Recep Uçar stated that it is not a day to talk about football, and said, “Thanks to the Fenerbahce community, we lost our brother Ziya Şengül. He was our older brother who provided important services to Turkish football. It is a difficult day for me too. The fact that we lost our brother Ahmet Eyüp in the earthquake. It is a very sad situation. Other members of the football family, Taner Savut, Christian Atsu, many members of the football family and many not from the football family, have lost many lives. May God have mercy on them. I wish a speedy recovery to the injured.”
Making a brief assessment of the match, Uçar said:
“It was a match that was the highlight of the league for us. It was a game in which we found serious opportunities according to our strategy in the match. If you can’t end it, Adana Demirspor team is a very high quality team, they can punish you. It’s a game where we and they also had opportunities. We could have had another one at 90 plus, it could have been trauma. We managed to get 1 point. There are 12 matches remaining, our goal is to stay in the league. We will focus on the Trabzonspor match from Tuesday. I wish the Adana Demirspor team success.”
