Jenna Mäkikyrö, 27, known from the programs Ex On the Beach, Temptation Island and Big Brother, is expecting her first child.
The future of podcasting
Mäkikyrö is thus leaving his post as the second party of Finland’s most popular Nikotellen entertainment podcast. Mäkikyrö will record nine more podcast episodes with his host colleague Niko Saarinen this summer. In the fall, a new presenter will join the podcast to support Saarinen.
– I am the happiest in the world for Jenna and her partner for the upcoming addition to the family. At the same time, I am very sad about the decision that Jenna leaves the Nikotellen podcast, Saarinen commented in the announcement.
Saarinen and Mäkikyrö have hosted the podcast together for two years. Before Mäkikyrö, the podcast was hosted by Saarinen, also known from Big Brother Jonna Saari. Saari also had her first child recently.
The podcast will next inform about new changes on August 29.
Mäkikyrö started dating his partner in the summer of 2021. The two have known each other for nine years and dated for the first time as teenagers. The couple has been dating for the past year in a long-distance relationship. Mäkikyrö lives in Helsinki and the man lives in Tornio in the north. The couple has seen each other at a close pace, flying to each other.
Nikotellen episodes can be listened to in PodMe Premium. New episodes come out on Fridays.
