Real U-turn on assizes kotmurder: the accused confesses the facts after 4.5 years
“I always lied to everyone”
That’s how it sounded just before the public prosecutor’s requisitory. At the start of the session, Musawi remained standing. “It’s been a tough week. I’ve done everything they say. I have no excuses for that. I’ve always lied to everyone. Until today. I didn’t mean to hurt my mom. I can’t do it anymore. I’m so sorry I wasn’t myself that day. I’m guilty, give me my punishment,” the accused sobbed.

It does indeed take courage to stand up today in those circumstances,” responded chairman Vincent Vereecke. Promptly, the chairman also started to question the accused again about the facts.
