24-year-old midfielder Brahim Abdelkadir Diaz, who plays for Spain’s Real Madrid team, chose the Moroccan National Team.
Diaz, who was born in Malaga, Spain, whose father is Moroccan and whose mother is Spanish, chose Morocco for the national team.
Diaz, who played for the Spanish National Team in both the under-17 and under-19 and 21 categories in his career, also played in the friendly match that the Spanish National Team played against Lithuania on June 8, 2021, and won 4-0.
However, Diaz, who could not find a chance later, preferred to play for the Moroccan National Team from now on.
The Spanish press wrote that Diaz’s choice of the Moroccan National Team was a great loss for Spain and accused the Spanish Football Federation of “incompetence”.
