Kylian Mbappé is still under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until the summer of 2024, and could then decide whether to add another year – but will not do so. The superstar PSG is said to have already informed this in writing. This was followed by a three-page statement from the club, some verbal digs – and intense rumors of a move to Real Madrid. Now, however, the Parisians are supposed to suddenly rethink and plan a crazy offer.
According to OK Diario’s Eduardo Inda, Paris Saint-Germain are planning to turn Mbappé’s head yet again with a deal that should bring him €500m over the next three seasons.
This is possible because the club’s Qatari owners have so much money at their disposal that they spend it simply to avoid boredom. Money simply doesn’t play a role, but without Mbappé PSG threatens to break up.
However, the supposed turnaround would still come as a surprise. Recently it was said that the tablecloth between the PSG bosses and Mbappé had finally been cut. “Le Parisien” even wrote of “extreme measures” that one is willing to take to end the chapter.
There was even talk of paying Mbappé an agreed loyalty bonus of 80 million euros, which he would receive if he stayed until 2024, so that the 24-year-old would flee this summer. So far, it should be the same bonus that stands in the way of a change in summer 2023.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid are expected to keep a close eye on developments and actively launch an attempt to sign Mabppé in the near future. In the past few days, there have been increasing numbers of hidden clues in the club’s environment, which underpin that Mbappé does play a role in the minds of the Madrilenians.
