Brazilian footballer Marcelo continues his career after leaving Real Madrid in Greece. The 34-year-old left-back signed with record champions Olympiakos Piraeus.
SC Freiburg’s Europa League opponents did not provide any information about the duration of the contract.
Marcelo had played for Real for 15 years and won 25 titles with the royal team, including five in the premier class with the Madrilenians alone. His contract in Spain expired on June 30th.
Before moving to Europe, Marcelo had played for Fluminense in his homeland. For Brazil’s Selecao, he took part in the 2014 and 2018 World Cups and wore the jersey of the national team a total of 58 times (6 goals).
