Sampo Kaulanen recently said that he is giving up the merchandising of his famous Jouni shop. Kaulanen has been a merchant for three generations. He gives up his shop, because he wants to see himself in a place other than the shop in the future.

Real estate news writes, that Kaulanen will give up Finland’s largest K-store located in Äkäslompolo in Kolar, and at the same time Kesko will buy the buildings and plots from Jouni kauppa Oy. The property is approximately 8,100 square meters in size.

According to Colliers’ market data, the purchase price is 19 million euros.

Kaulanen previously told Iltalehti that he is not immediately looking for a new job, but rests first. The decision to give up the business did not come in an instant, but Kaulanen has thought about it for a long time.
