Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) fined Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç with a fine of 210 thousand liras and 45 days of deprivation of rights.
Following this development, the yellow-dark blue club reacted to the penalty by publishing a written statement.
HERE IS THAT STATEMENT:
Today, by the Turkish Football Federation Professional Football Disciplinary Board;
“FENERBAHÇE A.Ş. President ALİ YILDIRIM KOÇ’s unsportsmanlike behavior in his statements in the TV program he attended on 04.10.2023 and his statements about the Referee and Other Competition Officials, FDT Articles 36/1-b, 38/3 “In accordance with articles 10/2 and 10/2, it has been decided that he will be punished with 45 DAYS DEPRIVATION and a fine of 210,000 TL.” explanation has been made.
While emphasizing that our club will make applications regarding this decision;
By taking steps without dealing with the essence and focus of the problems in Turkish football,
We would like to raise an issue on the occasion of those who act with the reflex of punishing those who experience injustice and express injustice.
The main focus and agenda in Turkish football;
The current situation in football
It should be the effect of referees and unfair management on the matches and the system becoming more and more unsolvable day by day.
The only need of Turkish football is fair referees and an equal approach to every team!
The lightest sentences given to serious accusations and threatening statements in the past are recorded as part of the unfair approach.
This attitude demonstrated today is not surprising to us.
As Fenerbahçe Sports Club, our stance on this issue is irreversible and clear.
We present it to the public.
