RBB executive salaries are being reviewed – but it’s about time!

The controversial remuneration system at RBB is now being reviewed by two state audit offices. A comment from BZ editor Oliver Ohmann.

One scandal follows the next. The RBB is morally in the ditch, the management team made the public broadcaster a self-service shop for taxpayers’ money. I really feel sorry for the colleagues who work at RBB.

Now the responsible state audit offices in Berlin and Brandenburg are finally checking the salaries of the bosses. I only have one thing to say about that: It’s about time!

Perhaps one can think a little more quickly about such obvious posts in the future. After all, there are even more state-owned companies and even more boss salaries, right?

The sad thing about the whole thing is that the state audit office can get a few euros back into the coffers. What he certainly cannot do: repair the damage to his image. Highly paid managers have really done a great job here.
