Borussia Dortmund would like to borrow Carney Chukwuemeka again, but RB Leipzig apparently wants to thwart these plans. As “Sky” reports, the red bulls strive for the central midfielder of Chelsea. Talks about a change of the 21-year-old who had spent the past round at BVB were therefore taken up. Further steps are planned this Wednesday.

Unlike the black and yellow, who are supposed to commemorate a loan with a purchase option, RB Chukwuemeka seems to want to commit what Chelsea prefers. So far, the blues spent 243.8 million euros for new additions this summer and need further income. Is not yet known in which area the transfer would be. The BVB could have signed Chukwuemeka with a clause for 35 million euros, but had this option passed. The market value of the English U21 national player amounts to 18 million euros.
The Saxons also play in the cards that Chelsea shows interest in Xavi Simons (22). An oral agreement between the Dutch international and the Londoners should be within reach. Afterwards, the clubs would have to agree, which, according to the latest developments and the interest in Chukwuemeka, may be easier to achieve than just with regard to the midfield talent with BVB.
Chukwuemeka came to the club from Stamford Bridge in 2022 for 18 million euros from Aston Villa. There he is contractually bound until 2028. There are currently 32 games for the blues, and at BVB he played 17 missions. In Leipzig, a plenty of competition in the central midfield would expect him. There are currently six professionals with this main position in the squad.
