On his 18th birthday, storm talent Yannick Eduardo signed his first professional contract with RB Leipzig. As the “Red Bulls” announced on Tuesday, the Dutchman with Czech roots’ new contract runs until 2027. Eduardo came to Leipzig in 2022 from the U17 of NEC Nijmegen, where he was initially active in the U17 and U19. This season he was part of the RB professionals’ matchday squad twice.

“Yannick Eduardo is a promising talent with a lot of potential. He is a strong player in the air with a good left foot and brings the corresponding goal threat as a center forward. Yannick has shown consistently good performances in the youth sector in his one and a half years at RB Leipzig and scored many goals,” explained sports director Rouven Schröder about the 1.93 meter tall attacker, who has so far scored 25 goals for the Saxons’ youth teams. “Because of this great, continuous development, he is regularly involved in training with our professional team and was most recently in the Bundesliga squad against Frankfurt and Leverkusen. What is important now is that he sticks with it, is willing to learn and continues to work intensively on himself. With the professional contract we are showing Yannick that we want to take him to the next level.”
