Leipzig provokes BVB with advertising campaign

In the Bundesliga, Leipzig and BVB will deliver a top duel on Saturday. The club from Saxony provokes its opponent in advance.

Bundesliga club RB Leipzig provoked his opponent Borussia Dortmund with an advertising campaign before the direct duel on Saturday afternoon. In Dortmund city center, large advertising posters could be seen on Friday, which contained a swipe against BVB and its supporters.

Two portions can be seen on the posters: one completely without sauces and one in the version red-white, i.e. with ketchup and mayo. Alluding to the black and yellow club colors of BVB and the red and white club colors Leipzig are on the posters: “Yellow alone does not make you happy”. In the meantime there is no doubt about the author of the campaign. At the bottom of the posters it says: “With sporty regards, the red bulls”.

It is not the first time that the Leipziger provokes an opponent in this way. Before the Bundesliga opening game against FC Bayern, lawn ball sport let an advertising truck roll through Munich, on which the home jersey of the Leipziger could be seen, together with the saying: “Dear Bayern fans, finally a simply red and white jersey in Munich.” Previously, the fans of the German record champion had criticized the design of the new Bayern jersey. Against Munich, Leipzig then clearly lost 0: 6. BVB will want to have a similar answer.

A victory for BVB would also be important. The Borussia is currently in second place in the Bundesliga table with 13 points. Leipzig is in third place with just one point. Since the Dortmunders have eight goals better goal difference, a tie would also be enough to say second place. In addition to Leipzig, no other team can be dangerous on this matchday. But with a victory against lawn ball sport and a defeat of the Bayern in the top game against Frankfurt in the evening, Dortmund could even take over the lead. This should also give a certain incentive in addition to Leipzig engraving.
