The morning is still dry in most places, but according to NH weatherman Jan Visser, this will soon change.

By the end of the morning, heavy rain showers will move from the southwest across the province towards the northeast. There is a chance of thunder, hailstones up to about two centimeters and strong gusts of wind.

KNMI warns of nuisance

The KNMI has issued code yellow until 2 p.m.

“Outdoor activities and road traffic in particular may be affected by this,” the weather institute reports.

The rain will decrease again during the evening.

Cool day with a lot of wind

In addition to the showers, the wind also plays a leading role today. It blows from the southwest with wind force 6 to 7.

According to Visser, there is a strong wind, especially along the coast. The temperature remains stuck at 17 to 18 degrees.

Changeable weekend

Some showers will also pass over the province tomorrow, possibly with thunder again. In the afternoon it becomes drier and the sun breaks through more often. It will then be 18 to 19 degrees.

During the weekend the weather remains changeable with an alternation of sun and a few showers. The temperature is rising slightly towards 20 degrees.

There will also remain a chance of showers next week. It only seems to get a bit warmer towards Thursday. “It won’t be summer for a while yet,” says Visser.
