DFB Cup winners RB Leipzig want to give their Spanish substitute goalkeeper Josep Martínez more match practice and are loaning the 24-year-old to the Italian second division club CFC Genoa for the coming season. The Saxons announced this on Wednesday.
Martínez joined RB from UD Las Palmas in 2020, where Hungarian Peter Gulasci is between the posts.
Martínez, who once played for the Spanish national team, has made four competitive appearances for Leipzig. His contract in the trade fair city runs until 2024.
