RB Leipzig has dropped another player from the large squad in Yvon Mvogo. The 28-year-old goalkeeper has been signed by the French first division club FC Lorient, as the DFB Cup winner announced.

This put an end to the permanent loan of the national keeper from Switzerland. Because the contract of the native Cameroonian at RB ran until the summer of 2024.

The goalkeeper, signed from Young Boys Bern in 2017, was hardly used by the Saxons and was then loaned to PSV Eindhoven in 2020.

After two years, despite his 54 competitive games, there were no further commitments before the French signed Mvogo.

The Leipzig team took five goalkeepers with them to the training camp in Austria in regular goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi and new signing Janis Blaswich, as well as Oskar Preil, Jonas Nickisch and Timo Schlieck. Mvogo didn’t matter anymore.
