Should stay until 2024
Hugo Novoa is returning to RB Leipzig a year earlier than planned. As the Bundesliga club and FC Basel announced in 1893, the offensive talent’s loan, which originally ran until 2024, will be terminated prematurely at the end of the season.
The 20-year-old has played a total of 17 games for the Swiss since January, in which he contributed one goal and three assists. Since April, however, Novoa has been used less and less. The Spaniard is still under contract with RB Leipzig until 2025 and, according to the Saxons, should be loaned out again in order to be able to gain more match practice elsewhere.
