Contract until 2024
In the summer of 2020, goalkeeper Josep Martínez came to RB Leipzig from UD Las Palmas for €2.5 million. Two years and only four appearances later, the Spaniard’s time with the Bundesliga club seems to be coming to an early end, despite a contract that runs until 2024.

There he should join the Serie A relegated CFC Genoa 1893. The market value of the keeper, who was trained as a junior by FC Barcelona, is currently estimated at 2.2 million euros. With Alberto Paleari (to Benevento) and Lorenzo Andrenacci (to Brescia), Genoa will lose two goalkeepers next season, Martínez would now be Leipzig’s ninth departure (including loans).
