Bundesliga soccer team TSG Hoffenheim found what they were looking for when looking for a successor for national player David Raum who had emigrated to his new club.
As the Kraichgauer announced on Monday, the Spanish winger Angelino is moving from league rivals RB Leipzig to TSG on loan until the end of the season.
“Angelino is a player who has outstanding football skills and has already demonstrated these over a long period of time both in the Bundesliga and on the European football stage,” said TSG sports director Alexander Rosen: “The fact that a player in this category is aware and with Decides for TSG with full conviction, even though he can actually choose his league and club category in his current situation, is something special and shows how important we have become.”
A few weeks ago it was “not to be expected” that he would wear the Hoffenheim jersey, said Angelino, who still has a contract in Leipzig until 2025: “Now I’m here and I’m really looking forward to it.”
RB allegedly transferred more than 25 million euros to Hoffenheim for Raum a week ago.
The left-back only switched from SpVgg Greuther Fürth to TSG last year. In 32 league games, he shone with three goals and 13 assists.
His strong performances made him a national player and he has played nine international matches to date.
