Sadness and fear for Mary Duinmeijer from Velsen-Noord. Seven of the fourteen commemorative raid tiles on the April 16, 1944 path have disappeared. The daughter of one of the survivors of the World War II raid found out on Monday when she returned from holiday. “I get a lot of reactions, like damn, is this necessary? They are still available in Beverwijk, Heemskerk and Uitgeest, it only happens in Velsen-Noord.” Is it theft, vandalism, or is something completely different going on? Watch the video below.
