“If I’m in good shape, then something will come out.” And it has to be, because in addition to The Kryng, De Meppeler is also active as the frontman of regional pirate beat band Combo Koedijk, with an average of one LP per year. “I provide the basis, so to speak, so the chords, the vocals and the lyrics. Peter and Arjan often have ideas for arrangements in the studio,” he says.
