Raven van Dorst collapses without A-stars: ‘Bad interviewer!’

Raven van Dorst is widely praised, but their program Farm Van Dorst ultimately stands or falls with a good guest list. Without A-stars, the show collapsed yesterday.

After the first three broadcasts with big names such as Hans Klok, Anouk and Katja Schuurman, Raven van Dorst had to be satisfied with Défano Holwijn and Froukje Veenstra in the fourth episode of Farm Van Dorst. It attracted 564 thousand viewers (15% market share) to NPO 3, the lowest score since the start of the program.

Load of Max

And that while a week ago the most viewed Van Dorst Farm ever was recorded: the show with Douwe Bob and Katja Schuurman reached 970 thousand viewers. The million-dollar line has now disappeared from view again. The question is whether people will join again en masse for the next episode, with Hanneke Groenteman and Maxim Hartman.

Viewing figures expert Tina Nijkamp finds it striking. In addition to the fact that there were no A-stars in the show this time, according to her, the competition with Max Verstappen also plays a role. “The Formula 1 viewing figures at Viaplay are not being disclosed, but it is clear that they were high. The race started at 8pm and the prime time programming was affected.”

Criticism of Rob

Or maybe it’s just Raven too? TV connoisseur Rob Goossens thinks they are a bad interviewer. “I don’t think she’s very good at the questions she asks,” he sneezes in Nieuwe Revu.

Yet that can also be the strength of the format, says Rob. “You really shouldn’t send Van Dorst on interview training or something like that, because then you would scare off guests because of the risk that they will get a really good question.”

Simone at #1

It is evident that most people watched Max Verstappen yesterday at prime time, but Viaplay did not join the viewing figures. This makes Simone Kleinsma the official winner in prime time with her program Classics with Kleinsma. 862 thousand people (24%) watched the NPO 1 show.

Furthermore, RTL 4’s One against 50 (844 thousand and 22%), NPO 1’s Het Dorp (830 thousand and 22%) and NPO 1’s Amazing Grace (532 thousand and 14%) were the most popular. SBS 6 attracted 395 thousand viewers (10%) with Het Roer Om and 432 thousand viewers (12%).

Viewing figures

Other programs that did not make the top 15 include Nieuwsuur (465 thousand), Shownieuws (435 thousand), WNL op Zondag (396 thousand) and vtwonen (386 thousand).
