Ravage in Moerkerke: two trucks collide

The accident happened around 2 a.m. on the Natiënlaan in Moerkerke near Damme. A truck came from the direction of Maldegem and deviated from its lane for an unknown reason. He collided with two light poles on the other side of the road. The truck was then hit by another truck that was unable to avoid the vehicle.

Road blocked

The havoc was great. The two drivers were injured and had to be taken to hospital. Miraculously, they are only slightly injured. The Natiënlaan was completely blocked. The fire brigade had a lot of work to clear up the debris and hoist the wrecks.

Traffic had to follow a local detour.
