Philadelphia Flyers’ Rasmus Ristolainen is injured.
– Lower body injury. The club has not informed the matter in more detail, so I can’t say more myself. On Monday I already skated for the first time, little by little I’m moving forward, the 27-year-old defenseman tells Iltalehte.
The Flyers are on a three-game road trip. Ristolainen is on the trip. It says that the injury is not too serious.
The team will play its fifth game of the season next Sunday in the morning Finnish time in Nashville. The person from Turku may already be in that game.
– I can say this much about my return, that between the fifth and 82nd game of the season, the return is ahead. Not more specific at this stage, Ristolainen laughs.
There are 82 games in the NHL regular season.
On a winning streak
The Philadelphia Flyers started the season with three wins. The first loss came in the fourth game against the Panthers and Aleksander Barkov on Thursday night.
– A good start is of course important. In the Vancouver game, we came from a 0–2 deficit to victory. We have received profits in different ways. The games may not have been a celebration of hockey, but the team has a good spirit and belief in their own doing, the player thinks.
– We are still at the beginning, but I would rather start with three wins than three losses.
At the beginning of the week, the Flyers were looking for a big win in the home hall of the always tough Tampa.

Flyers is coached by an experienced and renowned John Tortorellawhich many experts were ready to transfer already to the pension pipeline.
However, the 64-year-old Boston native has tuned his team to a great start to the season.
– He is very strict, but that’s how it should be. He has clear policies in the game and in other matters within the team. Everyone is on the same page, Ristolainen assures.
Yanki’s temperament has spilled over several times over the years. The man is known for that.
This has not happened yet this season.
– He is a fair and honest leader, his temperament hasn’t flared up yet. The man has a lot of charisma. When he speaks, he is also listened to. That’s probably what we needed in this team.
