Raptors negotiate with Trainer Hammon

Apparently, Becky Hammon has a good chance of becoming the first head coach of a team in the North American basketball professional league NBA.

As “ESPN” reports, the Toronto Raptors have received permission from Hammon’s Las Vegas Aces club from the WNBA women’s league to negotiate with the 46-year-old.

Hammon made his name as Gregg Popovich’s assistant at the five-time NBA champion San Antonio Spurs from 2014 to 2022. On December 30, 2020, she represented Popovich, who was kicked out, on the touchline in the second quarter game against the Los Angeles Lakers, becoming the first woman in league history to hold athletic responsibility.

The Raptors parted ways with Nick Nurse, their 2019 champion coach, last week.
