Virtanen states in the podcast that he occasionally uses cannabis. He openly says that he wants cannabis to be legalized in Finland. He justifies his decision, for example, by saying that, as a result of legalization, Finland would have the opportunity to receive more tax revenue.
– Finland has set an example in everything, so why don’t we set an example here too? Virtanen ponders.
Virtanen has signed a citizens’ initiative for the legalization of cannabis.
During the break from the discussion, Virtanen also reflects on his future plans.
– I thought that after my music career I would run for president and then at least legalize (cannabis), Virtanen reveals a twinkle in his eye.
In March 2023, it was reported that Virtanen will be brought before the courts again on suspicion of money laundering. The founder of the Blockfest festival has also received the same charge Kalle Kallonen.

Both were suspected of having covered up or disappeared the origin and location of the cash from drug deals, and of having put the money beyond the reach of the authorities.
Ville Virtanen’s money laundering charge is about the fact that in June 2021 he received EUR 10,000 in cash from the drug trade and transported the money to Spain in accordance with the order he received. The money was supposed to be given to the alleged leader of the drug league, but according to the indictment, Virtanen would not have succeeded in passing the money on, because the day after arriving in Spain, the leader had been imprisoned on suspicion of serious drug crimes.
