The new SBS 6 show I Want Your Song, the presentation debut of rapper Snelle, started with cautious viewing figures. “It is a moderate to reasonable start,” says former broadcaster boss Tina Nijkamp.
Rapper Snelle, who was very disappointed at the start of the corona crisis because he was unable to buy a new Audi due to all the canceled performances, is now also a television star. He made his debut as a presenter yesterday, on Friday evening, in the new TV show I Want Your Song on SBS 6.
Fast is disappointing
The first episode of I Want Your Song entertained 453 thousand viewers, good for a market share of 12 percent. How does viewing figures expert Tina Nijkamp, former channel boss of SBS 6, view it? “A moderate to reasonable start; not a hit but not a big flop either,” she says on her ratings juice channel†
The show had a market share of 10 percent in the target audience of SBS 6, aged 20 to 54. “That is comparable to Dream House Wanted,” says Tina, pointing to the hit program of Omroep MAX. “Recommended for SBS 6: make promos with more catchy and promotional texts and give Snel a bigger role in the promos.”
Blow Up scores well
RTL 4 alternative Blow Up has a market share of no less than 27 percent in the same commercial target group. In the general target group, 617 thousand people watched, good for a 17 percent market share.
The most watched channel on prime time was NPO 1 with Droomhuis Gezocht (838 thousand and 23%), Tweede Hans (1.2 million and 29%) and De Avondetappe (1.1 million and 28%).
Humberto closes
Humberto Tan attracted 539 thousand viewers (14%) yesterday with the last episode of his talk show on RTL 4. He has been on the channel every day for only two weeks. He would actually run until August, after which Renze Klamer would take over. Now, however, Renze starts on Monday, because certain TV makers want to go on holiday.
Humberto says himself: “Last year I had about 93 broadcasts and now about 73. I also wanted something less ordinary, because I thought it was really a lot last year.”
Viewing figures
Other programs that did not make the top 15 include 5 against 5 (376 thousand), Goedemorgen Nederland (349 thousand) and Shownieuws Zomereitie (281 thousand).
