Rapper Rosa talks about starting her career with Fler

Last Friday, the rapper Rosa released her first single “Gib’s mir correctly” under Fler’s “Masculine” banner. There have been plenty of hints on Fler’s Instagram profile since February. Some may be wondering: Who is the new “Masculine First Lady” and how did the connection with Fler come about? In the interview, Rosa talks very openly and personally about her career, her children and how her collaboration with the rapper Fler came about. One thing immediately stands out: Rosa is obviously very ambitious and is pursuing her plans with determination. Rosa talks about her first attempts to make a name for herself in the rap scene and how they initially came to nothing. The rapper, who actually completed vocal training as an opera singer, complained in the interview that she was often promised a lot in the rap business, but that a little later nothing was kept.

Fler and Rosa had already had fleeting contact via Instagram. Furthermore, there would also have been a connection through a mutual friend. She said: “I and Fler have had contact before. We wrote because I always supported him. I posted his songs.” In order to give her career the necessary boost, she turned to Fler via Instagram. She would have been looking for someone as a mentor who is “professional, really awesome, who has a clue and has visions.”

Despite the signing announcement: Rosa is still in the “masculine” trial period

“New Signing Rosa at Fler and Bass Sultan Hengzt,” both rappers wrote on Instagram in February. In the label, which is exclusively staffed by men, this almost seemed like the beginning of a reform. But according to the interview, Rosa is not yet under contract with Fler.

For the time being, Rosa is still doing a trial period as a rapper on Fler’s label “Maskulin”. About this she said: “You can’t get someone who you don’t know: How does it work in the studio? You want to take a look first – will that work?”
