Ferdy Druijf will definitively continue his career at Rapid Wien. The Austrians already rented the striker from AZ last year, where he had come to a dead end. The 24-year-old Uitgeester signs a contract in Vienna until the summer of 2025.
“I am very happy with the switch to Rapid Wien”, says Druijf on the website of the Austrians† “After the spring, I already knew that I would like to stay at the club longer. I feel good at the club and the city and my family has also felt at home here. All of that was decisive for me.”
Druijf has been playing for the Alkmaarders since 2012, who took him away from FC Uitgeest. In 2016 he broke through at Jong AZ and in 2018 he made his debut in the first team. There he managed to become a permanent fixture. He was then loaned to NEC Nijmegen, KV Mechelen and Rapid Wien. In Austria he played thirteen games and scored six goals.
