Rammstein’s Christoph Schneider: “I don’t think anything criminally relevant happened”

For the first time, a member of Rammstein spoke in detail about the allegations surrounding singer Till Lindemann.

Till Lindemann has apparently cut himself off from Rammstein in recent years. At least that’s what Christoph Schneider, the band’s drummer, suggests in a personal statement Instagram at. It is the first time that one of the members of the Berlin formation has commented independently on the allegations, which primarily affect singer Till Lindemann.

You are “like in shock” by all the things that are currently being discussed. “The allegations of the last few weeks have shaken us as a band and me as a person,” he writes. The allegations made in several media – including the “Row Zero” system managed by the Russian Alena Makeeva to bring Lindemann to young women for sexual encounters after concerts – were an “ebb and flow of emotions”.

Nonetheless, Schneider explains that everything he and others in the band’s circle had experienced took place within a framework that was not legally objectionable. He does not believe that “something criminally relevant happened”. Adults celebrated together, nothing more happened. “Nevertheless, things seem to have happened that – albeit legally ok – I personally don’t think are okay,” says the musician.

Then Schneider adds the words that will probably stick: “Till has moved away from us in recent years and created his own bubble. With their own people, their own parties and their own projects. That made me sad, definitely.”

Did Rammstein distance themselves from each other before the serious allegations that have been discussed for days?
