Rammstein: Universal Music interrupts cooperation

Universal Music has announced that it no longer intends to carry out advertising and marketing activities for Rammstein. This is reported by the “Spiegel”, which should have a statement from the record company.

“The allegations against Till Lindemann shocked us and we have the greatest respect for the women who spoke out so courageously in this case,” it says. “We are convinced that a full clarification of the allegations, also by the authorities, is absolutely necessary and must also be in the interest of the entire band.”

And further: “After the allegations became known, we suspended the marketing and promotional activities for the band’s recordings until further notice”.

The Berlin public prosecutor’s office is investigating Till Lindemann: It is about allegations “in the area of ​​sexual offenses and the sale of narcotics”.

Rammstein are currently on tour. Next stop is Bern on June 16th.
