Rammstein’s European tour started on Sunday (May 15) in Prague. The band will play 31 shows in 19 European cities over the coming weeks. On May 20th and 21st, things will continue in Leipzig, more precisely in the Red Bull Arena there.
Rammstein: Entry into Leipzig
Fans should note that admission for both shows, Friday and Saturday, starts at 4 p.m. At this time, the Red Bull Arena opens its doors so fans can take their seats in peace. According to the band’s website, the show begins at 7:30 p.m.
tickets
In order for fans to be granted entry, they should download new tickets and make sure to show the latest ones at the entrance. Background: Actually, the Rammstein concerts should have taken place in 2020, but they were postponed twice because of the corona pandemic. The Red Bull Arena used this time for renovations. Therefore, some places had to be redistributed.
Anyone who has a standing room ticket must also print out a new ticket, because new tickets have also been issued here for organizational reasons. Concert-goers should already have been informed about this change by e-mail. The new maps can be easily called up and downloaded in the customer account. Unsure if the ticket is new? A look at the date helps. There will also be staff on site who can help out in an emergency.
By the way: Tickets are currently no longer available. It should also be noted that the concert tickets must be personalized with names.
arrival
It should be noted that there is no designated guest parking space at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig. In the immediate vicinity, the Waldstrassenviertel and Zentrum Nordwest, there are only limited parking spaces. It is therefore advisable to use the signposted Park and Ride areas. These include: “Leipziger Messe”, “Schönauer Ring”, “Plovdiver Straße”, “Völkerschlachtdenkmal” and “Lausen”. From there you can easily get to the arena by public transport. From the main station you can also simply take tram 3, 7 or 15 and go directly to Sportforum Süd, the nearest stop.
weather
For Friday, May 20, 2022, Rammstein fans can enjoy a mild spring evening. During the day the temperatures are around 23 degrees Celsius with a mix of sun and clouds. In the evening it cools down to 20 degrees. However, it can get quite windy.
It looks similar on Saturday. In the early evening it can still be a bit windy, but here too sun and clouds alternate at 19 degrees. 18 degrees are currently expected in the evening.
Rammstein in Leipzig: Mask requirement yes or no?
The RB Arena announces that the new Saxon Corona Protection Ordinance has been in effect since April 3, 2022. As a result, no more controls are necessary and visitors can enter the stadium without G status and proof of testing. All access restrictions have been removed. Wearing a mask is also no longer mandatory, but of course possible for anyone who wants to protect themselves.
