Three ram raiders stole more than 13,000 euros from a jewelry store in Someren within two minutes on Thursday, August 17. The police announced this on its website on Wednesday. The police message asks the public for information about a gray Hyundai IX35 that could possibly lead to the perpetrators.
The three men committed a ram raid on the jewelry store on Kanaalstraat on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, August 17, around a quarter to four. The facade was completely destroyed with the help of a gray VW Polo and garbage container. After quickly grabbing their loot in the shop that had been opened, they fled in a black VW Golf. With more than 13,000 euros worth of stolen jewelry in the getaway car.
Ram and getaway car
The gray VW Polo used to commit the ram raid turned out to have been stolen in Eindhoven. After the burglary, the perpetrators got into a black VW Golf that they had parked at the jewelry store. Officers saw this car driving and gave chase. In Maarheeze the police lost contact with the getaway car. The vehicle was found the next day near the sports park ‘de Romruiten’ on the Philipsweg in Maarheeze. The police also found some of the stolen loot there. The black Golf also turned out to be stolen in Eindhoven.
Gray Hyundai
The police are investigating both cars and the stolen jewelry left behind for clues. The perpetrators are also on screen. It shows three boys emerging from the bushes of the sports park, shortly after the chase with the police. There is a strong suspicion that the driver of the gray Hyundai picked up the perpetrators. It is also on the screen near the sports park. The images show two people getting out and returning to the car after a few minutes with what looks like a bag.

The Hyundai was again seen at the sports park on the afternoon of August 17, this time in daylight. A window opens and a fragment of a face can be seen.
