The mantra could only be this: reset and restart. Old rule that is always in fashion and it is better to observe after a victory: to forget no, it would not be right, but to archive and start over absolutely yes. This is the meaning of Maldini and Massara’s words on the first day of school at Milanello, while the team sweats in front of the fans. Dt and ds spent a long time chatting with CEO Gazidis during training and, in short, it looks a lot like a snapshot of normality after the strong turbulence on managerial renewals.

Echoes

Maldini and Massara then spoke to Milan TV telling about the sensations and guidelines of the season that begins. “We are finally off, it was a well-deserved holiday after a fantastic season – says Maldini -. There are still echoes of the victory but I think it’s right to remember how we got to that result. Now we need to change the page and forget that intoxicating thing that happened after the match against Sassuolo. We are still in small numbers, many do not know each other, but I always say that here at Milanello every day is special ”.

Ambition

Massara is even more peremptory: “We need to reset everything and put the good times in the drawer. We still want to do well, we want to compete and be even more competitive in the Champions League. Ours is a path that can continue because these players have great room for improvement. The normality of a competitive AC Milan has been restored, history requires us to think in an ambitious way. The goal is to improve every day in the maturity of the team and in awareness. And if we want to improve, we will have to make little or no mistakes because they will all be waiting for us with a different attitude ”.
