The Toyota Finn dominates the race, winning 15 of the 21 scheduled specials, and takes off in the standings. Second Neuville and third Lappi, both on Hyundai

Kalle Rovanpera wins Rally Estonia by far and takes an important step towards the second consecutive world title. The Finn was phenomenal over the weekend in the Baltic, managing to win all the last 13 specials of the race: his second triumph of the season, the sixth in 8 rounds for Toyota. The damage was limited by Hyundai which conquered a double podium with Thierry Neuville, second, and Esapekka Lappi.

An absolute dominion that of Rovanpera: after having won all the tests on Saturday, in fact, the Finn repeats himself on Sunday by setting the best times in the last 4 specials. Full loot for him who also takes the 5 points offered by the Power Stage. Neuville closes 53″ behind the leader, but can be satisfied with second place. Teammate Lappi wins the sprint for the third step of the podium, ahead of Elfyn Evans’ second Toyota. Teemu Suninen did a good first, fifth on his debut on the i20 Rally 1. The weekend at Ford was decidedly negative: home idol Okk Tanak was unable to go beyond eighth place, following the 5-minute penalty suffered on Thursday. Lou’s other Puma bet closes sixth, keeping behind the Japanese Katsuta (Toyota) by a whisker.

The absolute top 10 is closed by the protagonist cars in the WRC-2 championship. The Norwegian Andreas Mikkelsen is relaunched in the race for the title, capable of winning for the second time this season. Skoda double with Sami Pajari’s second place, a race to forget instead for Oliver Solberg who fails in his assault on the top of the championship standings.
