The federal police searched properties in Berlin and Hamburg early on Thursday morning on suspicion of smuggling foreigners into gangs.
As the responsible federal police at Frankfurt Airport announced, the investigators examined seven objects. The officials did not initially provide any further information.
The raids continued in the morning. The federal police wanted to announce details later in the day.
