“Rage Against The Machine” concert: Security unintentionally pushes Tom Morello off stage

When Rage Against The Machine performs, nobody sits still. But during a concert on July 23 in Toronto, one fan took it too seriously. He ran onto the stage and tried to jump into the crowd from there. A security man was a few seconds late and caught both the perpetrator and guitarist Tom Morello.

It all happened while the band was performing their hit “Killing in the Name of.” After the tackle, lead singer Zack de la Rocha paused to make sure Morello was okay. The guitarist quickly got back on his feet and made it clear he could keep playing – to the delight of fans.

De La Rocha sings while seated

De la Rocha sat on a box during the concert after injuring his foot during a performance. Rage The Machine was playing Chicago on July 11th when the singer suddenly had to take a break. But he didn’t let himself be stopped and was quickly back on stage.

With the words “I don’t know what’s wrong with my foot,” he addresses the audience. “But you know what? We’re gonna keep this damn shit going. I can also crawl across the stage. We will play for you all today.”
