Raffle: We are giving away Blu-rays for “Marry Me

Pop diva Kat Valdez snaps up nondescript math teacher Charlie Gilbert at her wedding, which is broadcast live on social media, in the romantic comedy Marry Me. From April 14th this “modern love story about fame, glamour, social media and love at second sight” can be followed digitally from home. The film will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on April 28th.

To coincide with the home theater launch of the rom-com starring Jennifer Lopez, we’re giving away three Blu-ray bundles featuring the films Marry Me, The Boy Next Door and What Happens When It Happens.

A love story between social media and the “real world”

Kat, played by Jennifer Lopez, had actually planned a completely different wedding, but when she is confronted with her fiancé’s cheating shortly before the ceremony, she spontaneously changes her mind. Instead of marrying Bastian, she chooses Charlie, who is in the audience, embodied by Owen Wilson, who initially has little to do with her social media world. As the story progresses, it develops into an “unusual love story between two very different people looking for something real in a world made up of likes and followers”.

The film is accompanied by music from Jennifer Lopez and reggaeton singer Maluma, who is making his acting debut in “Marry Me” in the role of Bastian.

It’s not the first time that the two main actors Lopez and Wilson have been in front of the camera together: They shot together in Brazil and California for the 1997 adventure horror film “Anaconda”.

Joining the cast of “Marry Me” are American comedian Sarah Silverman, known for her taboo-breaking performances, as well as 13-year-old Chloe Coleman and Jimmy Fallon, who plays himself.
