The gang that raided Ronaldo’s house in Ibiza and 15 others had notes on future targets that were recovered by the Police

“URB GUADAL. Aznar” and “PORTOCRISTO. Nadal Mallorca”. They are the two entries found in the notebook of José Manuel Ávila, the resident of Malaga accused of being part of the gang that assaulted luxury villas and was dismantled by the National Police. The court of instruction number 1 of Murcia investigates the actions of the gang of high-level home robbers throughout Spain. They are accused of 16 robberies.

In the case of Pablo Iglesias and Lionel Messi, the names of the two characters who could be targets of the band simply appear in the notebook. In the case of Aznar, the exact address of his chalet appears. And in Rafael Nadal’s, simply the annotation of the town of Porto Cristo, on the island of Mallorca.

Iron and Guti

In addition to generic annotations, such as “Mallorca”, “Cádiz” or “Ibiza”, the notebook recovered by the National Police includes the words “MURCIA. MAYOR”. Investigators believe the gang sought its targets by taking social media information and that in this case it would be the chalet of which it was Mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón. The villa of this policy, a refugee from the PSOE and who supported a PP government, starred in a controversy on social networks.

On the same page of the thieves’ notebook, there are two entries that appear crossed out. One reads: “Can Rimbau (Guti) Ibiza”, alluding to a house that the former Real Madrid soccer player had on the island of Pitiusa. Also crossed out appears the note “Talamanca. IBIZA. (Iron)”alluding to a 400-meter chalet that the former Real Madrid soccer player and former Spanish coach has on the island.

The gang attacked Ronaldo Nazario’s villa in Sant Josep (Ibiza) on June 26. Several hooded men entered the upper floor of the villa while its occupants, the Italian soccer player for Paris Saint Germain Marco Verretti, his wife and a group of friends were having a barbecue. They took jewelry and watches valued at almost three million of euros. The loot was recovered by the police when they arrested two of the members of the gang when they got off the ferry in Denia (Alicante) two days after the assault.

In fact, the entries in the robbers’ notebook include on another page under the title “IBIZA” notes on two areas of the island, the aforementioned “Saint Joseph” Y “It’s Cubells”next to which is written, inside a circle, the expression “OK”which the investigators interpret as a sign that the robberies, such as the one at Ronaldo’s house, had already been successfully carried out.

On the same page, and on the island of Ibiza, other areas such as “Cala Conta”, “Sant Jordi”, “Porroig”, “Las Salinas”, “Cala Jonal” (referring to Cala Jondal), “Cala Bassa” and “Cala Vadella”, all without the “ok” next to them, which is interpreted as future targets in the band’s summer campaign. The report included in summary 595/22 states that, during their stay in Ibiza, the gang of assailants visited “areas of isolated villas and chalets, normally surrounded by fields“.
