A racist statement is said to have already occurred at the DFB Cup game of FC Schalke. Now an incident has also been known against a Kaiserslautern professional.

The clear 7: 0 victory of 1. FC Kaiserslautern at the DFB Cup start in Potsdam has been overshadowed by an incident. During the game at RSV Eintracht, a substitute of the Lauterer from the spectator area was racially insulted.

As Lautern’s coach Torsten Lieberknecht explained after the game, there was a corresponding statement from the fan block. He did not go into further details – such as the name of the player concerned. He initially “left” his player in peace, but wanted to seek a conversation with him.

RSV stadium spokesman Matthias Killing reacted directly to the incident and publicly condemned him: racist insults had no place in the stadium, he emphasized about the loudspeakers. “Everyone is welcome here with us. We don’t want that, we don’t tolerate it. Please take a look at you,” said Killing.

The fans of both clubs then showed solidarity and set a common sign against discrimination. According to the “Märkische Allgemeine Zeitung”, a suspect of the stadium was expelled. According to “kicker”, the RSV Eintracht also works with the police to further clarify the incident.

Lieberknecht expressly praised the host despite the incident: “It is not the symbol for which Stahnsdorf stands and how we were received here,” he said. “There is always any fullidiot.”

There is also a racist incident in the DFB Cup game between Lok Leipzig and FC Schalke 04. There Schalke player Christopher Antwi-Adjei was insulted by a fan. The game was then interrupted and the stadium spokesman also made an announcement. In the further course of the game, Antwi-Adjei was whistled by the fans at every ball contact. The player filed a complaint from the police.
